bought it from a guy who said he had it on his 99 FXDX. Part numbers for their dyna seats are the same through 2003. It doesn't even come close to fitting my '03 FXDL. No idea what it fits, but I can't use it. Figured I'd like to get the correct info so I can sell it to someone who actually can use it. Closest I've found are the 04-06 sportsters, but I can't find much for references to that "hook" in the front.

 

It looks just like mine. except the front 'tang' on mine points forward and doesnt fold back on itself. Perhaps that's the difference for
earlier models.
I would send LePera an email with the pics. They are very responsive.

 

I've narrowed it down to 2004-06. Possibly small tank. But I can't tell for sure. The bare bones seat for those years looks identical, but I can't find anything with a hook rather than a tongue in the front.

I emailed Lepera, will see what they say. was just hoping someone might recognize the mounting style in the meantime so I can get it listed this weekend

 

Looks like it should have a bracket on the back for those two holes, maybe?

 

yeah there's a bracket that goes on the back and holds the rear of the seat to the fender.

 

has ANYBODY seen a sportster (or other model) seat with a front hook like that instead of a straight tongue?
