Milestones all the way, good grip under the rain, yet durable enough to hit the 12,5 k miles line

Have been running Dunlops for years with good success. A local bike shop owner keeps telling me to switch to Metzelers.

Metzeler 880 or 888's, or Michelin Commander II's.

The stock Dunlop 401's are junk in comparison.

I'm running the Metz 888s (and am decently happy with them, faaarrrr better than stock) right now but after a ton of research am going with the Commander IIs next change.

Dunlops are junk. Pirelli Sport Demons are excellent for grip but not longevity. Not enough people talking about the Continentals for me to consider them. Nothing but praise for the Commanders even when compared to the Night Dragons, Sport Demons, 880/888s, Venoms, etc.

Simple. Go Michellin if you want your tires to last over 10k with plenty of grip or go Pirelli if you don't care about frequent changes but want even more grip.

Only problem I seen with the C2 is if you live in curvey areas and ignore the flowers while riding the C2 tires wear out on the softer rubber sides waaaaaay faster than the hard center part. A buddy ran them this year and the step from straight to curving looked dangerous. Je even said its an odd feeling when they started to wear.

I don't think Michelin have officially stated that the Commander II is a dual compound tire but I guess it wouldn't surprise me based on the grip-praising reviews for such a long-lasting tire. Strange that they didn't mention it as a feature though considering the list of tire tech they did specify.

I live down in Florida so it's not much of an issue for me.

My bad, it was a dunlop dual compound. We just got done riding 3 hours in the NC sandhills area. Lots of bikes out today.
