switch housing problems...please help me!
ok this is kind of hard to put into words but i'll try to explain. I put chrome switch housings, and caps on a while back. Recentley I bought some drag bars and wanted to run the wiring threw the bars...no big deal. I did the left side first, now i'm working on the right (throttle) side. I have all my wires ran and ready to roll but it seems like i always have a problem positioning this side. As it sits, the housings are facing to far down, but if i force them up it messes with my throttle and makes it tight. Anybody understand what i'm trying to say here? Sorry like i said its kind of hard to describe but i dont know how to go about getting the housingto facethe direction i want it to and keeping the throttle loose at the same time. ?!?!?!

Sounds like you may need to adjust the throttle/idle cables. The adjustments are near the elbows, just underneath the switch housing. Roll back the rubber boots(if you have them), then loosen the jam nut. This will allow you to turn the adjuster. The process for adjusting them is in the service manual. Just be sure the throttle snaps back when the handlebars are all the way to the right, left, and forwards.
