Harley has universal helmet lock, clamps onto the frame and will work on any harley. I got one last summer and it's been great, and was only about $20. If you go to harleys website its part number 45732-86.

I found that one a while ago but it said Fits all models (except '04-later XL models.)
Is that true?

I don't see any reason for it not working, it's a simple clamp-on lock, there's nothing special about it. just mount it on the frame tubing.

Thanks again, what year is yours? Where do you mount it? That helmet lock works on 7/8" to 1 1/4" tubing.

I am thinking about using a bicycle lock on mine. The kind that is 6 inches in height. I dont know if its going to work because the bike is in storage for the winter. Its a lot cheaper. Just my 2 cents.

You could always just get a padlock with a big enough locking bar to go through the d rings on your helmet and around a piece of your bikes frame, sissy bar, brake pedal, license plate frameetc.

These are all good ideas, but just remember that nothing is 100% fool proof.

Just like the door locks on a house, cables/locks/etc. don't do anything more than to keep honest people honest.

If someone really wants your helmet no cable (or padlock) is going to deter them.

A 5" hand held bolt cutter only takes a few seconds to cut through whatever necessary to accomplish their goal.
