They must be looking for a better pay pattern history.Make 12 payments on time and you qualify for a better rate. But you'll be way upside down,so get the one you want.Your pre approved on any sporty it sounds like. If they are telling you it has to be one certain bike, that's BS! It's the amount of $ not the unit. They like to force credit challenged people to take what they want to get rid of.Believe me,if your approved there, your approved at any harley joint.

I would also recommend the forward controls. I'm 6'1" and have mid controls. Most of my height is upper body (legs aren't all that long) but if my legs were any longer, I'd have to get the forward controls. As it is, they are on my long list of things I'd like to add, but we all know how that goes.

I don't see how they could swing it after a year... but to answer your question... a lot... unless you're putting like half down...
It would take better than two years to get close to breaking even... and then that would still depend on at what percentage you were paying...
That's just to get even...
So consider if you go this route... you'll have the scoot for a while... I'd go with the 1200 in your case...
Now this is just my opinion...

I'm 6'1" and ride a 2001 1200S. I have mid-mount controls. I've had no problems with being too crowded. I also have highway pegs on my engine guard if I feel the need to stretch out on long trips. I've ridden several 500+ days and didn't use the highway pegs all that much. I don't think I'll ever go to forward controls. I like the sporty look of mid-mount controls vs. forward-mount.
