i am betting that they changed your tranny oil, and primary oils, and if its synthetic or lighter oil, you will hear a whine, its the tranny gears meshing together, i dont think there is anything wrong
also on a lot of newer bikes the piston/rings will whine in the new tight cylinders as well, due to a certain designed cylinder wall

I just installed a D&D Bobcat and I did notice the sound you are describing. I took it on 10 mile test ride, and she extremely well. I am glad to know that this might just be something normal.
