The dealer should give it to you from your VIN #. When I had the extra keys cut for mine I gave my VIN, brought id showing I was owner and pd $25 and got 2 keys a few weeks later. The new keys have a key number stamped in them. There isn't anything that you would need that number for so I wouldn't worry about it. All can be found from VIN #.

Not exactly on topic but a recent key problem ...

Key broke off in the ignition switch but I was able to fish out the shank. After a few moments of desperation, I realized that the situation was fixable. Cleaned the broken edges of the key, added some solder flux and "tinned" the two halves with tin-lead solder.
Placed the pieces on a flat piece of wood, heated both with a soldering iron and gently pushed them together. Obviously the soft-soldered repair wouldn't survive normal service and I'd be back to the broken key situation again so ...
After the parts cooled, I filed off excess solder, took the "new" key to the hardware store and asked for a copy. Unhappily when I tried the new key, it wouldn't fit in the ignition switch - too thick. Filed the key down a bit at the time until it fit. (I actually had two copies made and modified both - the spare is in a secure place.)
Cheers -
