I have the two black LaRosa cannisters. I have also learned where every gas station is in a hundred mile radius of where I ride - LOL! But I also recently ordered a primed 3.3 gal tank from HD. The Forty-Eight, Iron and Nightster are interchangeable tanks. You don't have to buy them painted - HD sells them primed and ready for paint. My other bikes had the 3.3 and I missed the longer distances I could go than with the shorter distances of the 2.1.

But the LaRosa 30 litre (about a quart) bottles are great to have.

So here's my fox for now. I bought two fuel cans from REI and ordered a fork tank from Amazon. I really like the LaRosa fork bag holder thing....don't know what it's called. I may get a 3.3 gallon to pop on if needed. Thank you all for your input.

Take a look at BadG&customs He has a variety of bags, leathers, buckles, and bottle holders. I recently ordered bags for my wife and I' s sportsters (though not with bottles) bags are really nice.

I just got a 4.5 gal Sportster tank for my 72 from J&P Cycles ( What a mess! I should've got it from HD) it's not peanut style but it should look Ok once 'm done prep'n & painting it & easy swap. I'm also thinking of the La Rosa bag & bottle serves two purposes & isn't as intrusive as a full set of bags I'll post pics when done but it's going to take awhile to prep this tank from Taiwan
