Added a glove box
New to this forum. Hello. Just finished rebuilding my 03 sporty from the ground up and I was looking at a license plate bag to put my registration and a hat in. It was kinda big and $90 so I went to REI and happened upon a small travel pack for electronics. $25 and fit perfect and is very sturdy.

Anyway I thought someone my be interested.

@Bama Lee XLC as handirifle said (sarcastic or not, I'm not sure, tough to tell on online forums), diversity is good. Theft is not. That's just a shitty neighbor. But then again, as you said, something good is coming out of it (mowed lawns, someone probably earning their own money), even if their methods are screwy. Locking gas cap is probably a good idea anyway, to protect from tampering, whether where you park it overnight or when out and about. You could also get one of those covers with pockets for little alarm gadgets to startle the crap out of the thief if they try again. True, the alarms can be easy to unhook if you know to look for them, but it should only take one pants-pissing to scare them off. One would hope. And who knows, maybe they just needed that one (or two) "borrowed" tanks to earn enough for self sufficiency going forward. Some people are just greedy dicks, but once in a while it's someone genuinely struggling. *shrug* Just don't shoot them, OK? :P
On another subject, is that cord wrap on your handlebars just for aesthetics, or do you find that it helped with something practical, be it preventing glare or maybe helping with vibration damping? Looks cool at least!

Good point. It's sort of like locking a cloth top convertible car. I only did that when the top got old and needed replaced, hoping someone would cut it and the insurance could buy me a new top. Never happened, but it's the same logic. With a rubber hose running from the tank, a steel locking cap is a moot point.

Put a set of risers on the daughters bike last night. 4" riser with 1 1/2" pull back. We finished up about 10 PM and she didn't want to wake the neighborhood up. Just sitting on it she liked them better, she'll take it for a ride today and know for sure. But I'm going to have to do something different with the Speedometer mount, it just looks funny now.
