**** that ain’t hard. I’ve gone through 3 sets of those stupid steel touch pegs/pins in the first 3,000 miles, Only reason I changed them out is I couldn’t hear the noise cos I’ve worn them out.
Did about 100 miles today. However when I went to start it this am it was odd. The battery tender had an exclamation sign on it. Then when I switched to Run, the fuel pump sounded terrible. Then when I started it, it ran rough, stumbled and died. Turned it off, turned it back on, fuel pump still sounded weird (louder whine than usual), started it, ran rough for a minute but gave her some gas and she settled out. Then drove fine for 100 miles with a few stops. Guess I’ll keep an eye on it.
Ah, thanks, I wondered what the noise was when I hadn't ridden for a few days. I guess it's the fuel pump getting itself sorted out. It's fine after a few seconds of rattling.

had to install a new gas cap due to some asshat neighbor siphoning +/- $9-10 gas from it last week
i'm making a steel version of the "2 pin" open.close piece before the crappy aluminum one breaks
an the bright side....keystock is cheap and a punch to make the pins from I already have..........
the one that came with the cap has a bottle opener on the back but I ain't falling for that chyt.........
yeah its not like back in 05 when gas was 5-6$ a gallon if you could get it and unemployment was running high - and from a motorcycle none the less, you get what, 2-3 gallons, maybe if its full?
in my " newly politically diverse" neighborhood people get hit all the time, usually some kid with a jug wanting lawnmower gas.......
which had me wondering because 3 neighbors yards had been cut between the theft and my posting
Edit: on the bright side.....my neighbors cut their fvcking grass !!!!!
maybe i'll fill up w/87 octane and leave the old gas cap on it occasionally......
nope....don't want my tank sugared!
maybe I need to bring the bike over to MY house instead of next door at the house I inherited from Dad......but i'm working on getting a camera system up & running .
tank easy to swap......a dummy tank with some sugar gas for them
i use the Wyze cams from amazon, cheap, no monthly fee, alerts............caught my neighbor trying to steal a package, something spook him and he didnt, but i showed him the video and told him some choice words.....he then moved
