Stared at it's insurance premium for the coming year.
Damn, first year was $180, last year was $242, the new policy is $378. No accidents, tickets, or claims. When questioned about 'actual cash value' on comp & collision when the bike is worth less but the cost goes up, you get silence and some mumbling about costs going up with all carriers. In other words, no explanation...
Gonna play, 'ya gotta pay I guess.

The bike is insured thru Markel, the house and 3 other vehicles are insured thru State Farm. Guess I'll see what State Farm can do, maybe some kind of discount for having everything with them. Won't hold my breath though...

Yea kinda like homeowners fire insurance here in CA. Don't dare make a claim unless its a big one, for ANYTHING, cause they will pay it then drop you. If you live rural, like we do, no one will cover you. Yet the mortgage company insists you have to have fire coverage.
Torques my jaws that insurance companies can rake in billions, but when catastrophes happen and folks need to make claims on what they paid for for years, the insurance companies will triple your rates or not cover you at all after that.
Just renewed my tags, $130 for a 2007. Full coverage insurance is closer to $400.

Tags for my '17 here in Indiana were $116, and you don't even get a new plate, just a little white .05 sticker with 20 on it.

Well.... butter my butt and call me a biscuit. State Farm was cheaper on the bike, $201 vs $278 from Markel.
Been a productive vacation day, cut the Xfinity bill by $40/month, cut the bike insurance by $77/year, and after discussing the homeowners policy that had the coverage way too high, that will be going down too.
Mommy and I may splurge this evening, and order a pizza!
