That looks like the exhaust tube that harley placed on the Sporty.
Today, I finally hacked the fender I bought at a swap meet and mocked up the tail lights. This is a work in progress I have never done something like this and it is so much fun to do and nerve racking.

I've completed the updates to the lighting on my '99. Up front I replaced the stock headlight bulb with an LED from DK Customs, and replaced the stock turn signals with Custom Dynamics Pro Beams. Out back, I replaced the HD brake light with a BAL-1, and replaced the stock signals with another set of Pro Beams. The bike came with a run-stop-turn modulator from Badlands.
The DK light is awesome and makes the stock bulb look like a birthday candle. The Pro Beams up front are very impressive as they act as running lights when not in turn signal mode. The Pro Beams and BAL-1 in the rear are super bright and give me more assurance I'll be seen. One note on the CD Pro Beams, they were a very tight fit into my bullet housings and caused me a lot of angst, to the point I caused a self-induced electrical problem (flattened the ground points in the housings) To CD's credit, their customer service folks worked with me to get it all resolved; they were great.
The whole bundle was approx. $500. I consider that very cheap insurance. I have had the same lighting set-up on my RKC for several years and I know it makes a difference.
