What did you do to Your Sportster Today?

I will be dead honest. I go by miles I do not trust the gas gauge on my Softail, I hit 140 miles I am looking for fuel (Have about 40 left at that point). The Sporty, I have not had a chance to run a tank through it, but my first full tank will be old school run it until I run out and switch to the reserve tank. It does not have gauge at all , so tripmeter is your friend. lol.
Oh yeah, forgot I found an original NOS Points cover for my Sporty and my wife got me a cool Guardian bell for the Sporty to match.

I thought it was on the lower panel with the turn signals. So I started looking in the manual to see where it is. The fuel gauge is just below the speedometer next to the engine light and it comes on when there is 1 gallon left in the tank. I would like to think I would have noticed that change but I didn't so will just have to put some more miles on it and see what happens after 140 miles.
I found this interesting note during my reading as well
I didn't mention that I adjusted the primary chain before my ride as well. It appears that was the issue with the stuttering at low RPMs

Primary chain free play should be inspected at proper intervals and adjusted as necessary. If the chain is allowed to run loose, it will cause the motorcycle to jerk when running at low speed, and chain and sprockets will wear excessively.

Just so you know my 06 Softail gets 140 miles on my 4.5 gallon tank.
I have a 1982 XLSA Roadster with a 4 gallon tank and no gas gauge (they did not put gauges on Sportsters until 2004 or 2007 (I cannot remember)

Rode it in to work this morning. 42 degrees.
Glad I had my Gerbing jacket liner.
Dwayne pulled in on his Deluxe right about the same time...he was all bundled up.
We're doing some tests on both bikes later this afternoon.
