I picked up a chopper fender from Throttle Addiction and it still wasn't short enough for my liking so I chopped it an extra 1.5"

Before

After

Then I spent way to much time making this POS brake light mount for my sissy bar

And a mock up, hopefully will weld up tomorrow.

Installed a mustang vintage solo seat, backed off the rear preload as it was a harsh ride and installed an FP3 and V&H cage fighter air filter. Only had this thing since June, hopefully that's the last of the accessories for a while!

That is what I thought. Since May I have done all that (and more). Tomorrow my Progressive 430's get delivered. I will just have to find some time to install them.

A question for yourself or others who have installed that seat on a sporty: The seating position is up a bit with that seat (fine with me) but would you say it's back slightly or pushing you forward a bit? (as compared to stock)

I've only done a 40 mile ride on it so far but I think I'm a bit further back than standard. It already seems more comfortable than the stock seat and hasn't been broken in yet.

I actually have the 2up version. It brought me forward just enough to be more comfortable than stock. But, I am short 5'5". It worked out great for me.

Thanks. I'm only interested in the vintage solo. I have mid controls and am 6'1 so I wouldn't want a seat that brought the position forward any. Reviews I've read said it should feel like 1" up and 1" back (compared to stock) which I would be fine with. But online reviews often aren't as reliable as asking real users directly.

I have a mustang Tripper seat on there now. It's low and my old **** finds it uncomfy after an hour and a half. But the Tripper looks great....not parting with it. Just want something for longer trips.

The petcock was very hard to turn to reserve so i swapped it out yesterday. Bought a Superior Dixie brand from eebay. Drained the tank and tilted the rear of the tank out up and pulled the old one. The filter screen was surprisinfly clogged with what appeared to be paint flakes and other muck. The tank inside looks like new even after sitting for 9 years.

The new one has a brass tube for the normal “on” position so I had to remove the inner part of the filter screen so i hope that was okay. The new one works like a dream, is chrome and looks just like the OEM petcock.

Doing mini apes tonight and new riser bushings. Then blinker relo to the upper trees.
