The filter media in this Screamin Eagle air cleaner is made by K&N. Has a Harley logo on it and a K&N logo. After reading various advices about if it requires oil or not during cleaning, I found the actual instructions on the US site: https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....2?locale=en_US
(no instructions on the Canadian site) In case anyone is wondering, it does require oil after cleaning.
I had a K&N kit on the shelf for maybe 20 years, unused. For possibly an old Bronco I had at one time. Thanks! , Sensible 20-year-ago-me, that saves me some money now.
Making plans to do away with that venting cr@p into my intake. Going to drill the back plate to route hose through to a catch can.
Cleaned, oiled and reinstalled. I don't think the previous owner put any oil on it. Certainly didn't clean it either.

Not my Sportster but my son's. We were going to service his Iron this morning but, he decided to go play golf.
I had nothing to do so... I changed his oil and filter, drained and refilled the primary and adjusted the primary chain as it was a little tight, THEN I detailed it for him. He rode over to Ohio and back on Monday to work, and got caught in the downpour we had yesterday afternoon. His bike was a mess, drove me nuts just looking at it.
I HAVE to be the bestest dad there is...

Got my Michelin Commander II's mounted and balanced that came in a little over a week ago. I think I'm going to be very happy with these over the stock Scorcher 31's. Noticed right away that the Commander's don't track tar snakes the way the 31's did. And that's huge being that the Charlotte area has about 70% of their roads covered with them.
