I took the front fender off. Sent it to a local indie shop for stripping and powdercoating. I could have overlooked it and just rode the bike but it bugs me every time I see it.

Previous owner shenanigans-

Any idea what that small hole on the motor end of the front fender could of been put there for?
Mud flap?
Just wondering.

I would say yeah.

Dropped off the fender with the powder coating guy. he scraped off the old paint in one place and nothing but rust under it. No primer, no old paint... nada.
It's going to be soda blasted and coated properly... gloss black. Will have it back friday in time for a weekend run or two.

Installed a set of Kuryakyn ISO grips and Throttle Boss in gloss black. Just need the weather to cooperate so I can put them to use!

Finally got the 12" bars installed. After being quoted over $700 to throw these ($75 bars) on with extended cables and all there was no way I wasn't going to do this myself.
Took a bit of trial and error to finally get the new extended clutch and throttle/idle cables adjusted perfectly but thanks to the help of fellow forum members and that Harley bible (owners manual), everything seems to be on there pretty perfectly.
These bars are phenomenal. Ride is much more comfortable and my shoulders sit much more naturally with these.

Those bars look great. I'm about to start the process of doing an extended wiring kit in the next day or so. Any tips?

Take your time and follow the owners manual. The process is real simple but the little thing will frustrate the hell out of you. The torx screws are real easy to strip, make sure to use the T25 and T27 when needed, don't try and use the T25 where the T27 is needed, trust me, I tried, hate myself so much after.
When your screwing the clutch cable into the primary case, take your time and be patient, could be tedious, helps if you have someone holding the other end up while you're turning, if it doesn't screw in easy, don't force it.
Make sure to make all your cable adjustment as stated in the manual, to the smallest detail. That's probably where I ran into the most frustration, took me a good amount of time to get it adjusted perfectly.
There are tons of videos out there to help you with the swaps, ill ink some of the most helpful to me below.
Good luck!

Default Another Sportster build

Got the water slide done on one side of tank (messed up the other side, another one on the way), a way to go before it's all done, about two weeks. I also installed NOS switches along with new wiring (correct color code and gauge).
