Re packed with Stainless steel wool - Sounds GREAT. Deeper tone around the low end, low Mpa, but when you crank it, it gets Ob-F-ing-noxious. Love it
Also put on the axle covers the dealer nailed me for, oh well. look great. Belt seems as tight as they do off the floor, Ill check again once I get my tool. Also want the stupid swing arm pivot bolt covers now. lol
Washed it and used the S100 engine brightener. wow. My wife said it was a good thing she was sitting down when I showed her my pics of it, legs got weak lol

damn son!

Where would a used pair of RK air shocks be on this list? Not a good marketing point to put on your website probably, but I'm curious how they'd compare for comfort. Probably dead last for extreme handling, but for my riding, they work fine. Just wondering if a sportster could get an even smoother ride for more money. Lot more...

You know, we should amend our chart, because we've ridden a lot with the 13" Touring Air Shocks (not the 12" found on most Road Kings), and they are a big improvement in comfort over the factory shocks. They wallow a bit in the curves, but we would rate them in the 40-45 range, and at a price of roughly $100 on ebay they are a lot of bang for the buck.

We have four Sportys owned by guys at the shop. Two are hardtails, One has 13" Twin Adjustable Bitubo's (it also has the AK-20 front suspension) and one has the 13" Touring Air shocks.

I must've missed the post/info about the gas tank - looks like a Cole Foster style.
Did you make the tank ?

thanks for any info,

T.

It is a Cole Foster tank, I have not posted about this build, water slide decals will be here tomorrow so that will be the next job (tomorrow afternoon) if I don't mess it up I will clear coat after and post more pictures.
