Got the Motogadget Motoscope mini installed on my bike. Doesn't read the correct speed, but I can fix that. It looks awesome and was easy to install for the most part.

I first had the bike washed, detailed, and cquartz application. Yesterday, I had Xpel applied to the headlight, blinkers, oil cover, battery cover, tank, front half of the fender and rear fender. Heres a few pics.

You cant barely tell its there on the front fender.

this the battery cover getting done.

This is headlight getting done. it is now almost impossible to tell its on there.

Heres a finished product.

General consensus is yes. Typically you should have a blueish spark. A weak coil will still (often) cause a spark, but it can be hit or miss on whether it causes detonation of the fuel/air mixture. It may fire every time, it may fire every other time.

Make sure your plugs are the correct heat range as well, that can impact the performance.

Spark plug gap is important as well; too close sparks early (early detonation), too far apart sparks later (late detonation). That can affect performance, but you've said that you corrected for gap.

And I've said all I know about it.

Thanks for the info. Will check the coil once I have viewed a few vids on how to use my multimeter on a coil lol. Well I said I eye-balled the gap so who knows....I just replace my plugs with new ones so hopefully spark and gap should be okay

Great looking 48. I've been thinking about getting my bike cover with the xpel stuff, you can't even tell it is on there in the finished photo. Nice!

Thank you very much! Black paint and me have a love hate relationship. I love the look when its clean but hate that it never stays clean. Im hoping the Xpel will help.

It is a little pricey. Fortunately, the shop owner, a dear friend, wanted to try it out on a motorcycle so he only charged me cost of the materials. Normally, they find the patterns and a machine cuts it out for the perfect fit. In my case, the only patterns available were for the headlight and blinkers. The rest was all done on the spot.

Took it out for the first ride of the season, it's been cold and rainy here in NH. Partway through, when I stopped, I noticed a loud clicking/rapping sound from the front of the primary. It only happens at idle. I'm hoping it's just a loose primary chain, I have about 6000 miles on it now. I will look this weekend, when I have time.

bought a set of TC Bros Lane Splitter bars. I have Biltwell Zeds but they're too narrow and short. these seem to be a little bigger (wider and slightly taller) with almost no pull back. pull back seems to hurt my wrist.
