tightened up the lower front stabilizer brackets before getting the top bracket on, that doesnt work, lol
Had a bit of a fight getting the rear brake back on since I put the tire on from the other side and uh, well forgot about it till after I had the axle in. Luckily I hadnt aligned the tire, so I was able to undo it and get it squared up.
One question though, the swing arm bearings were a bit crusty on the left. See picture. I cleaned up the rotating part and it moved freely, so I just used it. I don't see why the swing arm would need to rotate around the bearing so I left it but I need to take the wheel off to replace it soon so I figured I'd ask. Bit crusty on the outside. But I cleaned up the middle and moves rotates 180 degrees freely now.

Started today like this
Getting closer. Now on to rocker boxes
Nice looking TR6. Had a few of them. Heres a 1968 TR 250 I restored.

Yeah the spherical part cleaned up real nice, no play with some wheel bearing grease in there, figured its probably just the housing, nothing to worry about. I did put my old tire / wheel back on, so when I burn that up and replace the tire, i might consider replacing it, but its not an axle or wheel bearing it doesnt really move other than a few degrees so probably a pandoras box of hurt to open it up to replace an otherwise good bearing...

I rode to work today! Woo hoo! Cold as hell (33, felt like 24) but it was worth it.

Mounted up my $56 HD Quarter fairing knock off from Amazon, along with a laminar lip and my other little wind deflector. Plastic is plastic, saved a couple of hundred bucks. As is par for the course for low production volume models, I had to fab my own mounts for the Roadster. Not many Roadster specific accys. available.

I didn't. I know they bring the warmth near to the jewels, but I'll have to see just how they feel before I get all spendy on the heat shields.

Do you have any experience with them?

There's been some discussions here lately about suspension upgrades, etc. I wanted to identify what length rear shocks are on my bike so I could keep an eye out for deals on better gear. I knew there was some writing on the springs, just haven't looked at them closely to know what it was.... like so:

Looked closer... dang, that's progressive 444-4007 (12.5") The bike that keeps on giving. So now I'm wondering what the previous owner did to the front forks, if anything. Finding new stuff every time I look.

Rode it to the liquor store and made some noise!
