yeah, looking back, I'm glad I wasn't hit by a car wearing all black walking along the side of the freeway like that, but at least I felt it come off and knew it was somewhere out there for me to find. And not finding it wasn't an option, because my RD350 was in 6th gear, and there was no getting it moving once I stopped.

Fought with the handle for about 30 mins. Started to unthread the grip and while doing so it spun the bar end indicator and spun the nut off the end (which is inside the bars). This is a FML moment. Luckily I was able to unclip all the zip ties holding any wires grouped together, and gather just enough slack so I could get the nut with a small allen key and wedge it agaist the bars enough to start threading. All this trouble for a little orange light.

Started playing with the set screws on the part the grip threads on to. Literally a 1/4 turn on the set screws and the throttle wont recoil back. 1/4 back out and it doesnt hold enough and just spins. Got it enough to where I am happy with it for today but know it wont last long. Thinking I may just superglue that part onto the plastic throttle.

Also want to thank Deadrubberboy, for possibly saving my a$s from being stranded somewhere. After coming back from lunch, decided to check the linkage to the shifter. Found it was about 1 full turn from falling off. One twist with my fingers and she fell right off.

I gotta say, I'm a huge fan of blue loctite and stainless steel safety wire.

I have loctite'd every single piece ever touched on the bike. **Exhaust bolts and grip assembly excluded** Still find random parts trying to kill me. These things are awesome!

I got her back on her feet but she is a long way from done. I should have installed the yellow fender I have for the photo. ;-)

I'd like to go with a Supertrapp upswept 2 into 1 but that might have to wait.
I like the look of the Cone Engineering 2 into 1 as well.

The Supertrapp with the S&S teardrop cleaner I have would look sweet.

Rode to a local bike night yesterday. Temps in the 60s (F) - not bad for February...

The SuperTrapp and S&S cleaner would be a great choice IMHO. I'm biased - like that cleaner so much I bought mine with an S&S engine attached, for my Glide! See sigpic for my system etc.

I love the look of those bar end signals.
