Stainless pipes at the engine are indeed blue.
Those pipes are normal. Next time you see a BMW oil head, look at those. Look just like yours.

Got the 2500 service done on the Roadster today, then burned through a tank of gas being slightly hooligan. Bike seems to be breaking in nicely. Beginning to loosen up a bit.

Stainless pipes at the engine are indeed blue. Dealer says it's normal. It's a holiday here today so I will find out tomorrow if they made the required adjustments when they installed the pipe and SE air cleaner.

Looks & Sounds Great! The previous owner spent some dollars on it, that's for sure. All of the usual stuff - pipes, A/C, oil temp dipstick, HD combo tach, turn signal relocate, Burly sissybar, and other farkles. Saved you some work and money I'd bet. Good find.

How funny. The bars you're removing are the ones I just put on. Biltwell "Flyer". Really solid piece of kit. I found the wall thickness compared to the stock bars I pulled to be most gratifying.

Just goes to prove, "To each his own..."

Default my 2005 sporty

Spring 2017 i upgraded my motor from an 883 to a 1200 after i decided to keep the bike (it is my first). Then started to play with some things to make it mine. First added the Biltwell bars and risers, lifted the tank, then the following pics....

Original seat

Biltwell HB seat summer 2017

Summer 2017, tested out some Plasti Dip and bought emblems from a Nightrain

Screw the Plasti Dip. Paint in progress Feb 2018

This bike was traded in at the local HD dealer last fall... sat there since. I'm glad I went to look at it. Cost more than I wanted to pay but the addons make up for it.

I'm going to have to actually ride it with the bars to know if I can deal with the risers. Hoping tomorrow. if they were two inches lower and two inches wider, I wouldn't touch them. Feels like my hands are too close together for positive control... but that's just me.

Your new bike is awesome... following your thread for sure.

Temps got up into the mid 60s here this afternoon so after getting my wife settled in after this morning's knee surgery, I went out for 30 minutes of wind therapy.

Rode it! Beautiful day here in northeast Ohio, 70F can't ask for much better in the tail end of February. Just bought my sporty back in Nov 2017 so haven't had much seat time and was great to get out on it.

Also installed a new gloss black jiffy stand (hold-back tab on stock chrome one was bent by a previous owner) and swapped the Rhineharts that came with the bike for a nice set of stockers. Much quieter but not as bad as I've read. Have plans to get something in between the two; noise-wise in the future. Any suggestions?
