Is that a back rest you have on your bike? I like that setup. Not a fan of leather saddle bags
I researched “stage 2” and I am not quite sure this bike had engine work done. It doesn’t pull any harder than my old 05 custom did, at least I don’t think. Hard to judge a cruisers power coming from riding sport bikes
OK, it worked. The bag sits a little lower but is attached to the bike much better now. I did have to grind away about 1/4" of material from the mounting plate to get clearance between it and the bottom of my shock. Just about a 1/2" long section of the plate had to have about that 1/4" ground out of it. Oh, and I had to flip the left passenger peg mount around 180 degrees and also flip the peg itself so that it folds up rather than down after that 180 degree flip. Now the left passenger peg is a couple of inches extra forward. I'll wait to see if my wife notices it when she rides with me next time. Anyway, end result:

Looks like the stock A/C too. I could be wrong. If so, it's not even "stage 1". I'm sure you'll get it sorted out just the way you want it though.
This weekend, I wrapped up the bar replacement, along with all new cables and brake line. I had to repair all of the wiring from the switches since they were chaffed down to the copper. I'm still waiting on some parts to come in for the intake, but it is coming together. It is almost time for a major clean and an new rear tire. Then, just to wait for Spring.
Before After (waiting on parts for the air cleaner)

Looks good. Did you have to lift the tank to do the wire tuck?

Thanks. I did, yes. It was still a tight fit getting the wires tucked up in there. The connectors on the wiring is what makes it tough to get them tucked away because they are the bulkiest part.

Depending on how big her feet are, she might be bumping your heel with her toes. I put 1.5" extensions on the passenger peg mounts on my sporty, and I hit my honey's toes as I pick up my feet when starting up, but she does have some big feet.

Yes, the bike had the backrest (attached pic) and luggage rack when I got it. I added the "tail bag" because it was easier/cheaper than saddlebags. Sometimes I wish the bike was cleaner looking, but I have to be practical. I commute to work often and I need the storage.
