Not to forget the other important contributors in accounting for the difference... large pistons, short stroke, higher compression, 4 valve, DOHC and an additional 2000 rpms before hitting the rev limiter. That extra RPM's ---> extra H.P.

Down low - up until ~5000 rpms - the Sporty 1200 does better.

Depends on what's you want.

The only Indian I've seen that's worth a look is the Bobber. It's looks get a - "meh...it looks ok..." - from me. I wouldn't even remotely consider replacing my Nightster with one. All the other Indians are just butt ugly in my opinion.

Finally got my Bassani Forepower slip ons tonight so I decided to throw em on. Couldn't have been more than 20-30 minutes between removal of the stock and the installation of the new slip ons.
Let me start by saying, I'll most likely be disliked around my neighborhood from this point forward. These things are LOUD. I'll update as far as any performance boost I feel after tomorrow's ride. Until then, I'll leave you all with some photos.

3)Took a look at the breather bolts inside the intake. Man these things do spit some sh*t into the filter. I will certainly be looking to buy some DK products soon. Either the filter bolts or possibly the catch can system. Sooo dirty in there! May have to do a sea-foam cleanse.

4) Drove her to work this morning, left my house and it was a balmy 0 degree C. Bike seems to like running in the cold weather. Starting in the weather, not so much.

Johnny, go straight to the catch can system, I tried the filter bolts on my sporty, and all that yuck ended up spewing all over my engine.

Okay I'm pretty happy with this tune. Very smooth, and excellent mid-range pull. I merged ahead of freeway traffic this morning and took it into triple digits for the first time, no drama. Aw yis.

Swapped out filthy filter for a new one. Had to get my helper involved to do the wrenching.

I put H-D Edge Cut foot pegs on mine last week.

I just got in from a 60 mile afternoon cruise. The weather up here today is sunny and around 50 degrees.

Took her out for the final ride of 2017. Finished up and brought her inside for the winter.

Took a half day off work and brought her out of storage for a rare 60 degree late November day in upstate NY. Put about 60 miles on and then washed and waxed it before returning it to storage.
