Hey friendo, don't order. I have that set on its way, and only need 4 of them. I'll send some to you! PM me your address and they're yours. -Mark

Clean is up best you can, then use clear fingernail polish to seal it off. That will keep the rust at bay.
I’ve got some HD clear coat touch up I can use. Good idea

I worked on a project last weekend so I was able to get a day off today. Bright sunshine and 50 degrees here in NE PA, so I headed out. I was out for about 3 hours, 105 miles. Probably the last long ride I'll get in this season. It was awesome. The best riding is when you have no schedule, no deadline, and no particular destination. Loved it!

Woke up yesterday to a light coat of snow. Today was dry and about 50. Rode about an hour.

I got that dusting out my way also. I had a treacherous 5 mile drive to the interstate, sheet of ice. I passed 2 cars in ditches. Ahh, 'tis the season!
BTW, I have relatives in Wellsboro.

Yeah, I don't let others get too close to my bike, but the Strat gets a pass!

Finally had some time so I washed and waxed the bike and brought the paint to a mirror black finish.

Unfortunately, I noticed some loose spokes in the rear wheel while washing. I tightened up the loose spokes only a 1/4 turn as to no take the wheel out of true and it seems to be fine for now. Upon my last tire swap, the tech told me my wheel was rusted on the inside so I assume the spokes will only be tight for so long before its foundation is rusted out.

Fortunately, I wanted to upgrade to the new cast wheels that are on the new 48s. So i used this as an excuse to upgrade and ordered the new wheels with some new bearings. They just bolt right up anyway.

I installed a new Energy One Clutch kit. At 19k miles I thought I should get rid of the spring plate but it looked just fine and all of the friction plates did also. Good PM anyway.
Only stickler was I broke the clutch cable where it screws into the Primary Housing. I just snugged it up but it snapped. No one close had one and had to drive 1-1/2 hrs one way to a dealer that had one. Oh well...All done now.

I replaced my spring plate this year with one from Alto. I'd read that it seemed to be a lot better made than stock, and I'd have to agree. Mine was pretty loose at 21K. Anyway, when I was taking off the clutch cable, it was RE-diculously tight at the primary. Then sure enough, when I was putting it back together it just snapped. Fortunately I was able to get one the same day. Good times, LOL.
