IMO well worth the $ investment - especially in PA were our riding season is a bit shorter than your season...

I replaced the PO installed T handlebars with black Milwaukee Tw*ns brand track bars and OEM risers and top clamp (w/new bushings). Also replaced the PO inst. 'Diamond' chrome/rubber covered grips and mid foot pegs with C*ke Bottle style grips and OEM pegs (I also removed the PO inst. chrome/rubber forward pegs).
