I went out to test the new windshield today. Windshield made a big difference. Then I ran into a driving rainstorm that cut the fun short.

The NOS inspection/derby cover came today. Crappy pic with the garage wall reflection in it...

They just replaced the gasket when they did the 1000 miles service a couple of weeks ago, so I didn't replace it even though I had bought a new one. Hopefully there will be no leaks.

Out on the bike taking care of business this morning when I turned a corner and waved at a fellow rider, and suddenly realized it was Indy-Stranger.

Did a quick 180 and caught up with him. Hadn't seen or talked with him for a while. We pulled into a parking lot and talked for a while.

Stranger, it was good to see and talk to you. Hope & pray everything ends up ok with your parents property in Florida.

Interesting information.

I'm in the process of getting everything together for a SE Stage 1 air cleaner, and routing the crankcase breathers out of the airbox. Just waiting on a gasket and the catch can to get here.

I have never seen oil temps higher than 225* even on a 90* day after a run of 15-20 miles at 70 mph. So I guess I'm good there... Kicking around the idea of the oil filter relocation kit. Easier/cleaner oil changes and the benefit of slightly cooler oil temps.

Yup...just things that can be done that do not burn holes in your pockets. I have a cooling fan, high performance oil filter, EBS, stage 1 AC/Exhaust, etc....but you still need a good tune.
