Installed Freedom Performance Independence exhaust system ( last night). Wrote a small opinion piece on it, in the exhaust tech section..

Today, I designed and cut a headlight lowering bracket. Overall drop was around 1-5/8". I'm happy with how the bracket turned out but I'm not a huge fan of (never have been) of the "arched" look that it gives my bike. I'd like the headlight to be relatively flush with the top of the tank and bars. I guess this is my excuse to go ahead and order that lower tank and clip-ons that I've been wanting!

NICE... Looks good even without the black heat shields.

Today, Kuryakin 6212 ISO grips. My old grips were getting kinda ratty, and my hands would start getting that buzzy/nub feeling after 20 miles on the interstate. The install actually went well, which is unusual for me. I always seem to hit a snag. The adhesive on the old left grip was completely done, I was able to pull it right off.

First time getting caught in bad weather, rode from the H-D Museum to Wisconsin H-D in Oconomowoc (~30 miles, probably took about an hour avoiding the freeway) in the rain. Fortunately, I had the foresight to throw my winter (waterproof) gauntlets in my saddlebag the other day...at least my hands were dry! Can't say the same for my feet, though! I guess I should look into investing in some rain gear at some point...
