finished up the tank lift, coil and key relocation, and wire
tuck. turned out pretty good.

Took my first real ride

So today I registered my new sportster (883 low- 3h at DMV

) and dad and I went on our first ride. Didn't dump, stall and got up to 40 comfortably. I have to work more on my turns - for some reason I'm not as smooth going to the left. But from coming from a 125cc during the MSF class I think it went well. The bike and I are still learning each other but still have the grin on my face!

Not today but a few days ago... replaced the aluminum front brake and clutch levers with chrome ones. Also adjusted the clutch properly. For some reason all the posts and videos I saw didn't get it across to me just how to do it properly but I figured it out and now the bike shifts into neutral like a dream when standing still. Oh, today I DID put on a NOS license plate frame I bought off Ebay from a long-closed Indiana Harley dealer.

Sorry, but honestly it looks painted. I guess depending on your state, I believe a license plate light is required to pass annual safety inspection. I was shopping around at the dealership and saw this and thought of you....does not look like it has a license plate light but looking at it online says it does but you can't see it.
