Noticed my handlebars were vibrating more than normal on the ride in today.
Got to the shop and saw the left riser bolt was a bit loose.
I have not touched those bolts in over 10,000 miles, and when I did, I put both of them in with thread-locker.
Strange. I tightened it up for now. Will pull it out and put some more thread-locker on it soon.

I'll bet you want to walk around all of them now and check.... Heading out to the garage myself!

Yep, going to be checking everything.
Just rode home and it stayed tight...but with no fresh threadlocker, it is only a matter of time before it works loose again.
Plus, how many other fasteners might the threadlocker be broken loose on, or getting close?!?
I have 883 gearing on this 1250, and besides my normal riding, about 3000 miles ago I ran it hard, and at high RPM's, for 5 days straight, chasing a Stage IV SGS thru the mountains.
Lots of high frequency vibes in those higher rpms!

i meant to go back and clip the plate wire on the light and never did it. i got sidetracked by something else, guess that's another "i'm bored" project to come back to.

the cd one isn't much better honestly, that's what i took off for the moons taillight. it's the cd is just a laydown, a bit lower profile than stock.

Beat up chrome sux
Today I took of the old beater pipes and ran a wire brush over them and scuffed them up pretty good.. Wiped them down with some acetone and shot some 1200 degree BBQ paint on them and wrapped the tops...
As soon as I get my carb back and installed I'm gonna finish the pipes by spraying the silicone spray on them.. Gotta cook that stuff in in guess, cures at 400 degrees.. cant do that without the carb...
Looks a ton better than the rust speckled chrome..
