Default Woot!!

I installed the chrome levers slvrscoobie sent then, the spacer from Mulithdrdr, adjusted the nasty throttle and idle cables for the test ride (temp fix), reinstalled the air filter, took it off the lift, washed off all the chemicals and finger prints. took it out for a quick 40 miles. hot damn... i missed my sporty. so raw.

the fat front tire and raidials are great. the gt502 are super sticky. i had a blast and killed a suicidal squirrel (it was him or me). looking at the bike out in the sun. i'm thinking that going gloss/vivid black on the primary and cam/sprocket cover is a must with red highlights on the points cover/derby and red reflective wheel tape vs the black tape that i ordered. like this:

fun times

cvaria, that Sportster is a damn beast! I love it

Absolutely go black on the covers. I lost a butt-ton of images of my '06 Sporty thanks to Photobucket but this image was part way through her make over. I powder coated the covers and chopped a few as well. Wish I still had images of how she turned out...

Thank you and merry xmas...

right on. granted i, don't like digging in my engine... if i'm taking the cam cover off, might as well do cams. just need to upgrade the springs.

i like your cam cover chop. WKNDS just did a cam cover chop to. my only issue with that is that it will expose more of the grey engine. i'll need to mull that over. he also when HAM on the hoses. looks great.

Merry Christmas to you as well!

I went with the braided stainless oil lines as WKNDS has done as well; and I had the wheels, rear pulley, and fork lowers powder coated black as well. The grey engine lower area ended up a nice contrast with the cam cover being chopped and powder coated black. That poor little 883 I had never knew what hit it when I bought her off the dealer's floor; she had a 1250 NRHS kit in the first few months

The Pirelli tires I was running looked good but you've gone right over the edge with what you've done. I wish the Big Brake setup was available back then, I'd have jumped on it

Keep at it; she'll be the ultimate Sportster!

The party's over for 2016, for me anyway. I finished out the year today with a 51 mile ride, then topped it off with gas & Stabil. It was 40 degrees, and only the strong sunshine kept my fingers in the game. I don't see any ride opportunities now, this winter looks like a real one.

I did just over 10K miles in '16, which included commuting to work 50 times. I rode on average about every 3 days.

I'll be replacing my rear brake pads and rotor sometime before spring, otherwise my bike activity will be limited to this forum.

I hope you all had a great holiday and were able to spend some quality time with friends and family. Also hope more upgrades are in the near future for everyone after today! For me, a Power Vision Tuner is coming soon thanks to my wife!

Haven't gotten all the parts I've ordered yet, but I've got the patience of a toddler, so went ahead and installed the led replacement bulb. Just waiting for the new top clamp to do speedo relo, headlight relo and wire tuck all at the same time.

Put her away for winter Got the lift for xmas, along with the harley cover, even though its staying indoors.

I did get some new foot pegs and a shifter peg for my forwards, except the 'raider, ebay, amazon' forwards have reverse mounting, so I had to buy new clevis'.
Still kinda want to replace with offical HD black forwards, but 375 is a bit much to replace basically what I have, once I swap over the clevis'.
