Went out for a short ride, was really jerky at take off out of first gear. Went back home and did the primary chain adjustment with the bike running (where you listen for the whining). Fixed all my chugging issues at take off!!!! I think the dealer didnt actually go through and adjust anything like they said they did when I bought the bike......

Not all today but within the last few weeks. DK 587 air cleaner (nicer in person), DK breather bolts, wrapped pipes, licks 10 in. Z bars, rejetted carb, changed oil and tranny. Might change the oil back to dino, lots of top end noise with the synthetic. This is my first harley coming from a jap bike a few years ago, so far im happy with it.

CV performance
I have had the CV Performace Deluxe Tuners Kit for my 2006 XL883 for a few months. I put it off because I thought it might be a little beyond my expertise or lack of. Anyway I finally installed it a few days ago. It was fairly easy except 2 of the phillips head screws were frozen and took considerable effort to extract. One of these sets thank god was replaced with stainless allens that came with the kit. I pulled the carb loose from the motor but did not remove the linkage so the carb was hanging while I did all the work. Very good instructions and the bike started instantly when I was done. The longer idle adjustment screw and longer easy adjust mixture screw made dialing it in very easy. Did it make a difference! Very much so. The whole performance of the engine from cold start to cruising to wide open throttle most definitely improved. I already have Screamin Eagle II pipes and after suspension upgrades and adding a front dual disc setup I may attack engine performance seriously with a little help from Hammer. Seriously though I really think it makes a lot a sense to include this mod as you look for more performance with pipes and intake mods.

Thank you. I started with 220 grit sand paper and worked up from there-320, 400, 600 and 1500. I have a dedicated buffer and then used red compound on a sisal wheel and then white compound on a cloth buffing wheel. I have about 4 hours per leg. The wheel lip was done the nsame way, but I started out with 80 and then 100 before going up from there. Had to take the fine ridge lines out of the lip before I could polish. I used some bright gold paint I got from a friend at a body shop and I shot the wheel. Did the rear wheel today and Mr. UPS man dropped off the seat and 7 inch headlight bucket. On the down side I have not found a chrome front fender yet. I think one off a CX500 Honda will fit so I may try that.
