WTF is up with that ? Prius drivers must be the most distracted I guess...

Yeah, first time wasn't their fault or mine really. I was behind them, came around a blind corner to find completely stopped traffic. I moved to the shoulder to have more stopping distance, he did the same thing and sideswiped me. Just broke my turn signal.

But another time a woman in a prius moved across 4 lanes of the freeway and ran me off onto the shoulder, just so she could catch the exit.... She said to me "Sorry but I had my turn signal on"................ That only pissed me off even more.

Honestly I think it's the design of the car, it has massive blind spots, they're horrible cars. The newer models are redesigned with larger windows and such. Not sure if it helped or not, because this was a 2016 prius. I usually avoid the Prius like the plague, as others should. If you don't believe me, next time you see a prius, just follow it for a while. You'll see them do something crazy. I thought it was coincidence before, but now I don't.

Boots saved the day. If I had forward controls instead of mids... The story might have been different.

Went out to the garage, looked at it, sat on it, cleaned some dust off it.

Unhooked it from the optimate and actually rode it. S'funny, but when I don't ride it for some time I get used to not doing so and I become less inclined to ride it. Then when I do rideit, I think why the hell haven't I been out on this lately! D'oh!

didn't you have a run-in with a Prius not too long back?

edit: saw that the "Priusphobia" issue has been addressed. Good luck out there.

Need to go NOW, moving in new place. lost key in mess and had locked front forks, come to find out, way too easy.
used cordless drill, a drill bit, 'bout same size, tad bigger, drilled into the pin on top, out came lock! so, lesson learned here, besides the obvious DON"T LOSE KEY! is: forget that PoS lock! of "almost" no use for security.

Jeez! You just got it back too. Sorry to hear man. Glad you're ok and the damage seems "minor" relatively speaking.

Awesome attitude! After a bad experience, it's easy to make enemies. It's great to hear you've taken the high road. I bet the V-Star dude learned a very valuable lesson for motoring in the future, whether on four wheels or two.
On a side note, when is he gonna cut you a check for the damages? You deserve a new brake rod, foot peg/pedal and heat shield. LOL

Glad you were able to get the lock out....hope you can find your keys to start your bike...lol

When took delivery of my used stock bike from the dealership and a few rides, I locked the fork. Could not get it to unlock, so I had them pick up the bike to fix it under warranty. They changed the lock three times and still did the same...on the last try, they found out the hole where the lock slide into was slightly bent (mis-aligned) probably by someone trying to steal the bike.

Holy crap...I was pissed. I told the dealership executives (that is how far it escalated) replace the frame or remove/plug the lock and install a smart alarm with smart siren. Of course they chose the latter.

Got my new Jiffy Stand Leg in the mail. I'm beside myself.
