Thumbs up

Fitted heated grips to my 2003, also oil and filter change. Runs great now, even if the weather a little cool.

Oh well it's the same. When I first did it, I went overboard with the acid spray, and burned through the paint down to the primer. This made it so you could see brush strokes and the base primer. So I touched it up and doused the newly painted areas with the acid spray again.

I also have some rust in the bottom of the tank that, despite spending hours shaking and sliding a bunch of nuts and bolts around in the tank... wouldn't come out. So I'll be trying something else this time... And I also will use something that doesn't eat up my clear coat like the gasoline did....

I put on 154 getting her home.
She's a keeper!

Don't tell my wife I did this, but I put a couple pounds of fish tank gravel in my tank, wrapped the tank heavily in towels and duct tape, wedged it in the dryer and put it on no heat. I let it spin half the day while I did other things. Then I turned it sideways to get counter action and let 'er spin again for a good long time.

Worked like a charm and I didn't wear myself out doing it.

That's pretty genius. No liquid of any kind inside?

She's a beauty. I like the 72's more-and-more, every time I see one.

Good luck with her.
