I've been wanting to do this too, just been waiting on a good deal for a used forward control brake pedal that I can chop up.

I have the same seat in brown diamond. Love it. Took maybe 200 miles to break in or so. It's not like, a touring seat or anything, but it's comfy. I'd get off and stretch your legs every 100 miles, which is what you'll be doing with the 3.3 tank anyways.

I didn't like the gap at first either, but now I actually prefer it, and I think the stock seat looks bad. The gap is more classic looking, makes the bike look leaner too. That pouch looks cool there too.

Started on my sissy bar today. Turned out pretty good so far. Just a mock up and still need the two pieces on the sides.

I dig that color man. Nice job. I'm steady thinking of a new paint job for all my tins. Kinda like the way my big pearl blue tins shine in the sunlight tho.

Yea, I agree with Kerry, color is beautiful. someday I'd like to make mine something other than black. I don't dislike black but its just so common....

I got about 25 miles in today. It took a little getting used being that extra inch back and lower with my newer forward controls. Seemed comfy enough. Last thing to go is how I want to move handlebars up and back a bit. I don't want to have to alter too much. I'm thinking risers with stock handle bars... Even going that route, I will have to replace my cut to length ABS brake cable.

For now, the bike is way more comfy and less cramped than it was all stock.

@KerryS85 and @Wreckwriter - Thanks guys. It is actually a stock harley color called Merlot Sunglow. Yes it is a very nice burgundy color with flakes. I could have changed the paint and color since i painted everything except the rear fender, but kinda liked it so just kept it the same and easier to color-match than a custom color.

And both of my chrome covers are already sold and did not even remove it yet....how quick is that...lol. The guy just waited until my other set of covers were done painting.

Finished my bar pretty much. Just need to grind some welds and clean it and paint. Gonna do matte black with some metallic blue flake. Should look good. Probably finish it tmw. Also might take my old clutch diaphragm and weld it in the middle and do some engraving on it or have my wife do some detail on it.

Not too shabby

Idk yet. From the back it looks cool but from the front I'm not sold

If I only could weld...my imagination would go wild. For one...would modify to install 240s in the rear....and perhaps more rake. Okay better stop...it'll never happen...lol
