at the end of last season, I changed from a Super E carb back to the CV. I'd changed to a 45 pilot. I found it weak in the mids, but left it for Spring (if Spring comes this year).

On the weekend I pulled the needle up a couple of notches, can't test it till (or if) the snow stops.

While I was at it, I replaced the SE air cleaner with a DK. I really like the 70s look of the big chrome cover that HD has on the 72, so that's the one I ordered from DK.

Took mine in this morning to the local dealer to have the 10k service performed, install a AN Big Sucker Stage 1, and download a new tune. Just picked it up at lunch then it started raining...so had to get back in the cage. Suppose to be great weather this weekend. Looking forward to seeing if I notice any increases in performance.

Drove around a bit, noticed I have yet another leak from around the clutch pedal. Skidded on some mud when I left my yard so the bike is mega dirty, and had a random dude offer to use my bike in a magazine photoshoot. I thought to myself. My bike is dirty and mostly stock why the hell would this dude want to use my bike lol?

Here's a pic of the AN Big Sucker w/ Scalloped Cover. I also purchased the rain sock from the stealer. Not the best fit of the sock, it's made for SE round stage 1. Had to remove the cover and filter install it to stretch over night and massage it for the best fit.

They did a good job installing the A/C as far as I can tell.

I can't tell much difference in the sound. I figured there would be a noticeable difference but it's feint at best.

The bike definitely has more torque on the lower end and seemed to have more power through out. The throttle response also improved. There was zero back firing on this ride, there normally was at some point during every ride with the stock intake after I installed the cycle shack slip ons.

That has me believing the new download is working as it should.

All in all I'm pretty happy. Now I can get ready for my coil relocation and ignition relocation. I already have the kits just need to do it.

Is the new tune generic enough that I could change slip ons at some point without having to get remapped?

Oh just cruise around our neighborhood , then waxed her, it's raining on and off which is really annoying me. And I also reinstalled the screwey thingy on the fender so when I get my solo seat it will be ready..Is it going to look weird if I installed the sissy bars even though I only have a solo seat??sorry just have to ask..

Latest picture of my Harley..

Sat and watched the rain....SO. TIRED. OF. RAIN. this Feb and March. We're over 6 times the average rainfall for March and still counting here.

Time for some decent weather on a consistent basis.

X2!!! Went from singles and 20s and snow to upper 40s and this coming week will be in the 50s, but started pouring yesterday and doesn't look like it's letting up for several more days, then the temp drops back into the 20s-30s...Was about to pull her out of my friend's garage to park in her spot in my driveway, but hell, if the snow is coming back...this...plain...sucks!

yesterday I left my key in the ignition in the on position for a couple of hours totally draining the battery. I put it on the trickle charger around 6:30 PM hoping it would charge and be ready for a planned day of riding today. No go. The trickle charger barely put a dent in it.

I had to take the battery out and take it to the auto parts store for a charge, and hope I could still get some riding in today. Got the battery back at 12:30 and made another freaking mistake and lost a piece I needed, and was unable to find it. So no riding for me on an absolutely gorgeous day in Houston, Texas.

The only benefit is that I actually did my first ever wrenching if you can call taking a battery out wrenching.
