LOL happened to me too in heavy rain on the freeway....had to ride with one hand to cover my face...haha. Get yourself a bandana for your face. I now use a 3/4 Shoei J-cruise with face shield. Good helmet...I can even hear my music.

Keep a face mask in your jacket fir this. I got several different ones depending on weather. The neoprene ones are like having a face shield against rain. I ride mine everyday to work rain or shine. Love it no matter the weather.

Lol I have a bandana just forgot to take it!

And changing out my Burley slammers to stock shocks. Hopefully they give me better comfort.

Also got caught in the rain for the first time today haven't even been riding a week. Light rain, made it home fine.

At one point I did get lucky and happened to look at my foot just in time to take a rock to the top of the helmet. Highway speeds.

Speaking of, how do yall combat wind resistance? At 50 I feel fine, but as soon as I hot 60 or above, I feel like I'm wearing a parachute. Its all I can do to hold on at 75.

I know some wind is going up my sleeves and literally making my jacket a parachute, but wearing a backpack alleviates most of that.

But regardless, I feel unsafe over 60.

1/4 screen takes most of the wind away from the body

Saw a brand, Memphis something, makes a good looking fairing that has a quick disconnect. Has great reviews.

I can't do the big windscreen. But just enough of a fairing to get it off my chest will be fine.

I REALLY like the quick disconnect so I can just pop it on when I ride to work

When i got my Harley it was teh first "naked" bike I'd ridden for a few years. I felt like I was hanging on for dear life at anything over 50mph lol! Now i'm just used to it.If I commmute into work on the Harley I sit at 70-75 on the highway for approx 15 miles and I just don't notice the wind blast anymore. That said at this time of year i'm wearing a full face crash helmet so may be hiding behind that helps?

Check out this thread...has different types of fairing/windshiields that may help you decide. You can PM the poster for the one you like to get more info. I went with the big one that is also posted on the previous page of this thread. I found Memphis Shades to be a little costly so went aftermarket. There are also links to different suppliers on the link. Good luck.
