Just took "Leah" out for a little cruise, a bit windy but did about 70 miles. First real run with the straightshots and TTI's. Definitely more power pulling the hills and sound level is just right for me. Just a quick pic of some of the scenery out my way.

I've had my 2007 Sporty XL1200C for 10 weeks. The original owner put around $2,000 of upgrades on it, so there wasn't a lot for me to do, or so I thought. Here's what I did in 10 weeks time with my first and only motorcycle:

Install engine guard, 2 new Dunlops, Kuryakyn mirror stem extenders, and HD Super Sport windshield. Lubricate sticking throttle cables, change engine and primary oil, lubricate and adjust clutch cable, adjust primary chain, and replace rear rocket box gasket.

But the best thing I did during this time was put 2,684 amazing miles on it!

Riding opportunities are dwindling as winter approaches, if I can hit the 3,000 mi mark before parking it for the year, I'll be happy. Then again, I may never park it for the year. I can definitely see myself taking it out on a sunny 30 degree Saturday afternoon, even if it is only for a 15 minute stretch of the legs.

If the original owner only spent $2000, there is a lot for you to do..LOL....new seat, some bags, performance upgrades, tuner, etc....nah just joking and putting stuff in your head. What did the original owner do to the bike?

Congrats on your new ride...enjoy!

Ha ha I know, so much more to spend! Original owner did Cycle Shack slips ons, Big Sucker intake, chrome trailing arm, belt guard, oil & battery covers, chrome switches, flame grips & foot pegs, smoke signal covers, new tail light, back rest/luggage rack with HD travel bag, braided chrome plug wires, and lots of other little chrome doodads. Yeah, he liked chrome, lol.

I'd like to upgrade the seat at some point, and some better lighting. Otherwise I am super happy with the bike and can't complain about anything. Just sorry I waited until I was 49 to get it!

Finally replaced the stock rear shocks on my Iron with PS 412s.
Only 1/2" longer.
Managed to change them without a jack, my son was helping me.
But a tip, it is a lot easier with a jack....

Next the front. The PS kit is already here, as is the Ricor Intiminators.
