I got my local independent motorcycle repair shop to install the Avon Cobra Chrome tires on my Iron 883 wheels, only £20 ($26) in total for the fitting, a bargain in my books.

I will have to reinstall the wheels next week due to the owner of the lockup where I keep my three motorcycles being on holiday in Poland for a week.

LOL somehow it gets in my taint.

Finally installed some shims to keep my levers from rattling, (cut up water bottle) and some new stainless c-clips for the clutch and brake pivot points. These "little" quality of life mods really make the bike more enjoyable to ride. You couldn't drop kick me off my bike now if you tried too. SO comfortable

On the clutch lever of my bike there is a shim or spring plate for that job. No idea what year it was added, mine is a 2017.

Finally got my bike back yesterday after almost 3 months at the dealer. Everything on the left side of the bike that needed to be replaced after my accident has been taken care of and the bike is running just fine. When they installed the new OEM bars, they put them more forward than I like so I’ll need to adjust them this weekend.

This morning I went out and replaced the light bulbs in the new OEM front and rear left signals with the same Custom Dynamics I have in the right side, cleaned the bike up (the dealer did a lousy job with that), and swapped out the all vinyl LePera seat I put on the bike before I dropped it off at the dealer (because I didn’t care if they messed it up) with a Le Pera serape Bare Bones.

Really happy to have the 48 back because I missed it.

Thanks! I got it for a steal on eBay years ago and never really used it until now.

The bike and seat look great.

Each to their own and I perhaps don't like lots of black. With a paint edit computer program I wonder what the effect would be to have colour matched front and rear mudguards (fenders) and even side covers?

I don’t like everything on a bike to match. It’s overkill, IMO. And it would absolutely defeat the purpose of the 48, which is a factory bobber and the whole bobber aesthetic is to look kind of raw.

Insurance money came in from the elderly driver that backed into my bike. Got the new windshield installed this afternoon. Next up, mirrors and leather bags. May order new V&H short shots to replace the damaged straight shots.
