Not mine, but a lil more work to Ally's Sportster, getting ready for her 1st road trip. Not far, just up into NH weekend for a quick overnighter.
Finally got the K&N all charged, and added a the Mustang Standard Touring seat.

Been spending a lot of time on the red 1200 lately, the blue 883 was feeling neglected. So we spent some quality time together this afternoon for around 2 hours and 80 miles or so.

I'm 5 miles from rolling over 37,000 on the 883. Other than the oil drain hose cracking and leaking oil all over the garage floor it's been as reliable as an anvil.

FINALLY got the painted sidecovers back. The painter for IndyWest HD is up in the northern part of the state, and they somehow got shipped to Hunters Moon HD up in Lafayette. Took a few phone calls from IndyWest's manager to find them. All is good though...

Not a great picture in my messy garage but IMO they complete the bike. Never did care for the black sidecovers on either of my Sportsters, just looked unfinished to me. Like a replacement fender on a car left in the black primer.

I am of the same opinion. Most bikes have colour matched side covers.

I can somewhat understand why HD has only black sidecovers, cuts down on inventory. That being said, seeing HD is considered a 'premium motorcycle' they should come with matching sidecovers IMO.

Then you have the Roadster, painted tank but the two fenders, sidecovers and fairing are black...

I agree as well. Looks like it should have looked in the beginning.

Final finished my Stage 1. Installed this BEAUTIFUL stainless air cleaner from Gasbox and breather bolts from Prism Supply Co. Top knotch quality on both.
I actually felt a difference on my ride this morning with the ac install. Was pleasantly surprised.

- De-catted modfied exhaust with DK Customs TTI.
- Xieds
- Gasbox AC
- Prism Supply breather bolts.
