Changed mine out as well. They work very well unlike the self cancelling that I wish I could cancel!
You have @WKNDS fitted the wrong version for year of bike I think? There should be the picture for turning on hazards.

an example of the difference. The picture is of my Softail Slim turnsignal.
You are correct, my Sportster turnsignal switches have the Hazard graphic on them.
thanks,

I finally had the time to replace the jiffy stand bushings and, of course, the pretzel clip disintegrated on removal from the clevis pin so I improvised with a nail for now until OEM clip arrives. I was a little concerned that there was so much play at the top but realized that's how the stand secures itself when deployed. Also attached the crosspipe heatshield received from a fellow forum member.
So much chrome...
Much happier with the lean angle now.
Front turn signal project is next as she doesn't have any... Currently the thumbswitch only activated the rear bulbs but no flash. Guessing I need to replace the switch under the seat.
But this is New Mexico where turn signals are overrated.

I just cannot win the gasket wars.
My custom cut cork primary chain inspection gasket lasted about 200 miles before giving in to a sweat. I tried remounting with teflon tape on the threads. This lasted about 800 miles (personal record with any gasket in this location), & on the way home from a road trip, gave in to a sweat/seep.
Going back to the wrong method; light layer of black silicone on both sides. Perhaps one day I'll give it a shot to smooth the primary cover surface, but for now, I'll just deal with the extra step during oil changes.

It's possible the lack of resistance from the missing turn signals is causing your TSM to not function. Maybe if you add some signals the TSM will operate. I'd go with incandescent bulbs first, although I've read that you can use one LED light on each circuit without having "hyperflash" but IDK, I still use the stock incandescent bulbs.

Now it is decreed by many that using a torque wrench is unnecessary but I do use one as I am not an experienced wrencher. The FSM calls for 11.3 to 13.6 Nm for the primary chain inspection cover. I use the lower value and haven't experienced any leakage.
Both parts are chromed if that makes any difference on the bikes here.
