Not a bad way to go really. When I did mine a few weeks ago, I bought an Amazon driver thinking the PVC might be a fight. Looking back on it now it wasn’t that much force driving in the seals and the PVC would work. Good luck.

As ever I didn't think it through. The front is partially in bits so no riding now until fixed. An opportunity to check and grease the neck bearings so will do that as well.

Off out tonight to a bike meet... in the car!

Hello Guys,

I have got a 2012 Sportster 883 Iron / 5000 miles on ODO only,

I am converting it to a solo bike! And planning to lower the rear for sure.

1-I did cut the rear frame shown in the photo

Yesterday i got a 14” Ape, a solo sprung seat & Forward Controls!
Unfortunately the Forward Controls has a missing part for the Brake Pump so i am gonna fabricate it in house.

Also, I didn’t like the Seat positioning!

There is a Big Gap between the Wheel and The seat

So I am trying to re-position the seat same as the below (the below photo has the rear shocks removed and lowered almost 3.4”)

what do you think about the shape?
I need your opinions!

My target is to lower the Rear end by 4” by removing the Rear Shocks and just install Rear Solid Bars instead with a sprung seat!
Anyone did that? If yes, what’s your driving feedback? Is that Risky?

Part 2
I am planning to remove the front Rotor and Eliminate completely the front brake system.

So i am thinking to wire the throttle cables inside the handlebar, and Make a custom Pedal similar to the throttle pedal to connect the clutch and wire the clutch cable inside the handle bar too! So it will be a Handle bar free of Regular Brake & Clutch pedals!

i have a CNC machining Shop, so that’s easy for me to build that.

Is there anyone who did that?
Do you think using the clutch pedal same as the throttle pedal design has any cons on the driving experience?

3- I am thinking of making wider fork brackets to install a wider front wheel, also removing the OEM Headlight and make a custom bracket to fit a Led Square shaped light!

I need your opinions!!

keep an eye on this build,

Cheers,
Maher

No biggie and maybe that's what you want, but I think your fender is on backwards

Put the Widest Tire on in the back (at least a 180 if not wider, maybe 200) and then the widest in the front ... Think late model Fat Boy ... and call it "Steam Roller"

I bought the "Stockton" model from Cycle Gear, it did the job but is junk, the plastic liners in the sleeve are just glued in (they should be staked somehow) so they fall out...so I returned it in good conscience after using it.

I am thinking of that! Maximum we do a Custom Wide swing arm to fit that fat wheel on the rear!
with the same fatboy rear suspension!
i think no one had did that on a sportster right?

I would agree that probably no one in the Lebanon region has done a 200mm rear conversion.
Here in the US, several "kits" are available if you really have to have that wide of a tire.

http://www.chopper-kit-usa.com/WT_sport.html
http://www.widetiresportster.com/wid...sportster-kits

On the front, you'll have to switch to at least a mid-glide to get
a wider front tire than a 110/90-19 on it....

good luck,

T.
