That is a 1948 ****** CJ2A. It runs and drives but needs all new seals and an engine rebuild (I have a rebuilt one already to go).

It's the only thing more dangerous to drive around than a motorcycle.

Finally got the '17 1200 Custom I bought back in December home today. I installed the LED headlight, grip puppies, and extended mirrors. PLENTY more parts/modifications to go...

Not too many years ago I thought I would NEVER own a POS Harley Davidson, and here I am 7 years later with two of them. A '17 883 SuperLow, and a '17 1200 Custom. They are one of a kind, love the Sportster!

Making more modifications, installed the Cobra sissybar yesterday, this afternoon I put the shifter and footpeg WHERE GOD INTENDED THEM TO BE... It's a SPORTster, not a LazyBoy.

Still have the right side to do. Work on the bike may slow down, it's supposed to get COLD here. Not supposed to be back to 32*F for 10 days or so, with a few nights around 0*F.

I am also not a fan of forward controls. I ran both for a while, using the forwards as highway pegs. It was kind of a test to see which pegs I would naturally gravitate towards. I removed the forwards as I never used them.

The so called "further forwards" would be ideal, in my opinion, for two up riding. When my wife rode with me, with mid controls, my calves were always bumping into her boots at stops, when I put my feet down. A little more space between the pass pegs and rider pegs is about ideal. My legs are too short for forwards, which my bike came with, and soon got removed.

I really like that color on your bike.

My sister just texted me that it's 3 degrees at her place in St. Louis. She has to take the stupid dog out to pee. Her cat is sleeping peacefully by the fire, a much wiser animal.

They can train dogs to do almost anything, except pee and poop in a box.
