Very nice work!
Im headed in the same direction but I feel I'm going backwards.

Just got my 18inch springer. Repo of the WLA unit. Working out tank fit.

Fit 16 inch front wheel. Will be very low bike with 3 inch ground clearance. Frame now empty for some alterations. Cut stand off to be reworked and forward mounted. Will have mid mount controls.

While that style of bike is not my cup of tea, you have done a fantastic job with this build. I don't have to want to ride a build to appreciate it.

Soldered all the switches and ran the wires through the the new bars. Fit like a glove. I hate wiring.

I finally finished the new front end and rewire....wow that was a lot of work. Popped on the new tank and took it for a spin today and it rides and handles amazing. Doesn't look too bad either.

Nice! A silver DID/RK chain may better match your 'color scheme' though.

Keep those pics coming! Love to see what everyone is doing....

Thanks!

Ya the old look was all black with a little red and gold on the tank. I'll end up going back to the raw look on the chain when it comes time for a new one.

Well it was back together for all of 12 hours.

The guy who painted the tank offered me a great deal to do the rear fender to match because he was doing another set in the same scheme. The catch was he needed the fender today so off it came. Luckily the I had already done the rear so nothing is attached to the fender anymore so it is a quick job to remove it. Ordered a chrome EK chain per WKNDS's suggestion to replace the gold one while I am at it.
