There are a couple random signs on a nearby open stretch of 101 about noise laws. I don't see them in town, however. They are kind of out of place IMO.

Drained fork oil, replaced with new screaming eagle oil
installed progressive springs
installed cheap Chinese pre-load adjusters too
Felt good on shake down ride, time will tell.
*Did NOT completely eliminate brake dive, would have been surprised if it did 😂

We have the car stereo guys with bass speakers that shake nearby building foundations. That's a public nuisance as well.

Yea they dump exhaust straight out, a muffler on it might defeat its purpose. My truck uses the variable turbo vanes as a brake. Not as effective, but way better than nothing. I almost never have to hit my service brakes when downhilling my 12k lb 5th wheel. Downshift and watch the boost gauge go up. All thru stock exhaust, so nary a peep.
Today I've been doing some internet research vis a vis the Harley anti-knock circuit and their proprietary Champion plugs. When I first got the thing it ran so poorly I tried anything possible to help it smooth out, including changing the stock plugs.
It finally got it together and started running very well, low and high rpm. It was all more or less due to gummed up injectors from very old gas left in it for a long time.
The NGKs still look fine, no sign of trouble I can see, but I went ahead and reinstalled the original genuine Harley Champions just to see if it makes any difference. I gapped them to .040 per my manual.
Maybe it will run smoother. I've had rides where it was pretty smooth, other rides it was like a joy buzzer. It's weird that way.
