What did you do to Your Sportster Today?
Yea I don't think the peanut tanks are good for even around town stuff. Especially for me, since I live 20 miles from town. It would be go into town, run an errand, fill up, go home, repeat as necessary.
Heaven forbid I ride it to the Harley dealer, it would probably go into reserve just getting there.

If you liked that 'modification', you might like to try the quarter turn throttle modification.

Since this photo I put big twin air shock takeoffs on it and really improved the ride. Handling didn't suffer, either. Looks like we have the same tail rack. I have Avon tires, big improvement in ride and handling, no more wiggling on tar snakes. Thought about saddlebags, but ended up putting a tail bag on it, don't carry much more than a jacket, lithium jumper battery and maybe a few small things. I wouldn't mind a custom paint job, but this is just a seldom washed ride it everywhere bike, including dirt and gravel roads. Not my most practical bike, but the one that's most fun to ride. And a heck of a lot more reliable than the old big twins I have, or should I say, hangar queens.

Comes with all hardware included and is super easy to mount or remove. No need to buy a mounting kit that costs as much as the fairing.
Great looking bike!! The fairing is great in the rough weather but I did notice it was a little warm this week. I have it adjusted so I get plenty of wind but it can get hot. Fox rear suspension makes for a great ride. Will check out those Avon tires as I'm about due. Looking to replace my grips next to something with some contour.

Nice looking sporty. That windshield is good in the weather I took this photo in, and doesn't buffet much at all, but there's so little air movement behind it I take it off in summer, without a breeze I cook in my mesh jacket I like for summer riding. Shortly after getting it I put the "Pillow look" seat on it, did nearly 400 miles one day with the OEM seat and it was either get another seat or another bike. This one is comfortable, if not the most stylish.
