Got up this morning and headed out to the garage to finish up the new tire installation, only thing left was to put in the Dyna Beads as I forgot to take them with me when I dropped off the rims at the Ducati dealer.

I've done it before, but today was especially a PITA. Ended up the only thing I could come up with to vibrate the valve stem (no... mommy doesn't have one) was my rechargeable tooth brush. I removed the brush part and used it to vibrate the beads thru the valve stem.

Man's gotta do what a man's gotta do...

Took the bike out for a 30 mile 'shakedown' to scuff the new tires in, and make sure everything was fully tightened up. Looks like I'm good to go for another 12,000 - 13,000 miles tire wise.

Rode to lunch with a few friends. Round trip was just over 100 miles.
Bike ran great!

I freshened up my lithium battery with the charger, took about 30 minutes. Looking forward to riding, but we just got 10.5 inches of snow! Gosh!

Added some Joker Machine mini floorboards for my "Highway pegs". Really they're just forward controls minus the controls so I can stretch my legs. also added a Flo Motorsports shift peg as my brake pedal as the TC Bros peg that comes with their mid controls is pretty slippery.

Funny, I did the same thing yesterday. Went from 70% to 100% in 30 minutes or so.
How do you know when to put on the charger?
I have a tracker on my phone for that. There's an app 4 that. LOL

Added 968 miles to the odometer.

Bounced the bike down I-40 in West Memphis IN which ended my ride

Thanks to two friends and my wife I first got the bike to Nashville TN, then Annapolis MD, and then finally home

The carnage:

My riding gear

Trip home

Plus 1 to that.

Those poor bags. It looks like they save a lot of other bits from hitting the ground.

Glad to hear you are OK.

Would it be in poor taste to ask how this happened ? Did a cage pull out in front of you ?

thanks,

T.
