Noticed a huge flat spot in the power delivery at around 65-70mph in too gear? Looks like i'm going to have to try some data recording with the SEPST! I'm scared Pa!!

Default Ebay Clam Shell Foot Brake Cover

Night before last I installed a clam shell foot brake cover that I got off ebay for about $10-$11 shipped. It was supposed to fit right out of the bag, but of course I had to do a little hack saw cutting on the bottom slot lip, in order for it to clear the brake stem. That part was a PITA, but after that it was simple...two hex head screws that hold the shell together down through the top, and two set screws underneath that solidify it to the stock foot pad. It's chrome with a black rubberized insert sandwiched in between that protrudes in two slots through the top, slightly raised for feel and braking. It looks decent enough (better than the small stock waffle-ized one anyway) and adds a slightly larger and higher profile to the foot brake. Before that I noticed more than once my foot would slide over and ride the stock brake without even feeling it....now I definitely know it's there. I test rode it yesterday for about a dozen miles around town and it worked quite well. Definitely an in-expensive and effective upgrade, for me anyway.

Bryan I wish I could say I did that rear fender, but it was already done when I bought the bike, actually that fender was what sold me on that bike

lol good question. The value is in my time and convenience and not the cost of air at the gas station. 75 cents every time you use their air would take a while for recovery. But if you are on the road with no gas station around...invaluable.

S'OK, was only yanking your chain
Sounds like a sensible solution.

Got 50 miles out of my 48 tank of gas (compared to 60 previously) since fitting the shortshots and using the FP3 tuner....

...either it is running a lot richer or I am yanking on the loud twister more ?

Something is not right if you are only getting 50mi. Is it 50 to empty of 50 till the light comes on? How much fuel are you putting in when you fill up?

I rode my new (to me) 07 xl1200c from Huntsville, AL to Augusta, Ga today. My son signed over his bike to me (good kid). Longest ride I've ever done.
