Yes I used a buddy's benchtop belt sander. Then taped it up & painted
it with black caliper paint.

good luck,

What stand is that? I like the simplicity.

Its a biketek cruiser stand. Cheap s chips. Lots of people make them out of wood too. I think there are some plans on this site of the XL forum somewhere?

JLT,

I love the swingarm mounted fender, looks killer. Post up some details on the fender build. I need to do something similar because my tire keeps bumping my fender.

Today I figured out that I don't have the RallyRunner seat that I thought I did. The dealer simply installed a pillion to the stock seat best I can tell. Feel kind of stupid now, thinking I had the rallyrunner this whole time. I'm gonna put myself in timeout now...

Took her out this evening and adjusted my headlight. wife's parents have a driveway that's just perfect length; and flat (rare here).

I had a 9am meeting this morning but as I was about to leave on my SH300 I noticed the broken centre stand spring on the floor! No matter i have the Iron sitting there, so I'll just take that instead. Of course where i'd been trying the XR1200 caliper for fitment i'd left the oem one off and tied to the frame. Sigh. Rush around and get spanners and refit that. Now move two cars to get it out of the driveway. Now I realise its practically out of fuel. Get to the garage and fill up and then head into London. I certainly put the Iron through its paces this morning and it delivered me here almost in time.
