Why go with the stock 48 seat? I've heard a lot of grumbling about how uncomfortable the stock seat is. I couldn't stand it myself. It was one of the first things I changed.

They occasionally show up on the classifieds here.

Polished up the aluminum trim on rear pulley and gave her a wax, working weekends has its benefits!!

got my sissy bar on and threw a good 60 miles on it. letting the lady try out the sissy bar some time this week hopefully.

That looks awesome JLT - love the bobbed rear fender. I think I'd prefer flat drag bars to those apes though - but that's just IMHO.

Mr T - caliper looks amazing - can wait to see it fitted and hear your views on improved braking.

Thought i'd put it on to see how the fit is and I see what you mean!! Man that fits close!! Too close really. I'll definitely need to smooth off the finish there as I think it might touch when hot!! Have you a picture of yours with the material removed? Did you just sand it off?

Remembered I bought a new stand for the bike! So I tried it out so i could spin teh front wheel and check for clearance/interference on the xr1200 caliper. Very impressed with the stand!!
