Not the color....I've just never been a fan of them too narrow for me

Hey! I just noticed the chopped cam case. When did you get that done ? Looks good....

Also, does your right leg get hot since you dont have any heat shields on those exhaust pipes ?

thanks,

T.

I agree 100%: that chopped cam case looks killer.

Doing 20,000 mile services to a 2008 and 2017. Done the fluids and some other bits but keeping both in rideable condition as I tackle each part.

I did a breather bypass on the 2017 not that long ago and the air cleaner is totally devoid of any oil. Fortunately it is a washable type and it was oily the last time I had it off the bike.

I chopped the cam case about two years ago i think it was.and with my off set footboard arms, nope, leg doesnt get hot.hell even when i wear bluejean shorts.with my high gearing, the whole engine runs cooler.i remember when i had the heat shields on,when i wore shorts,i burned my leg quite a bit..the pipes need a touch up right now.just been lazy with the high heat we are experiencing.here is a front pic so u can see how far my leg is away from the exhaust.

Added some Saddlmen medium slant saddle bags for some more carrying capacity. Easy install and so far I like them.

I replaced my derby cover gasket on my 2011 XL883N today due to the old gasket weeping oil, when I removed the cover I realised that last time I adjusted the clutch I'd nipped the lower part of the gasket when replacing the cover.

£3.50 for the new gasket including shipping from V-Twin Mania in Edinburgh.

I replaced the cover carefully this time and I now have an oil tight seal on the derby cover, problem solved.

I baptized mine in gasoline.

Was filling up gas, and didn't notice that the pump had a trigger lock. Well, the nozzle locked up in running position, and I couldn't free it up, so I pulled out and soaked the entire bike. My phone was on a mount and still reeks.

Thats crazy. I JUST got home, and filled my Ultra Classic, and mine did not lock, but did not auto stop, and drenched the tank and engine in gas. I half expected to become a human torch, thankfully got nothing but stink. Its on driveway now cooling off, waiting for a bath before parking in the garage.
